Last updated: 28 August 2026

These terms govern the use of the A Human Odyssey website and the purchase and use of its downloadable catalogue products. AHO Studio projects are bespoke engagements governed by the proposal or agreement accepted for that project. By using the website or purchasing a catalogue product, you agree to these terms, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

1. About A Human Odyssey

A Human Odyssey is an independent creative project that creates and offers digital books, visual works, guides and related downloadable products.

Through AHO Studio, it also undertakes selected custom digital projects, including product prototypes, websites and landing pages, and MVPs or other digital products.

2. Website use

Visitors may browse and use the website for lawful personal purposes.

They must not:

  • interfere with website operation or security
  • attempt unauthorised access
  • misuse, scrape or reproduce substantial website content
  • use the website in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others

3. Product information

A Human Odyssey aims to describe products accurately.

Minor differences may occur between previews and delivered files due to screens, software, formats or later corrections.

4. External checkout and delivery

Purchases of catalogue products are currently completed through Payhip.

Payhip may apply its own checkout, payment, account, tax, delivery and platform terms.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate purchase and delivery information.

5. Digital delivery

Products are delivered digitally using the method described at checkout or on the product page.

Customers should save a secure personal copy after download.

If delivery fails or a file cannot be accessed, contact: ahumanodyssey.project@gmail.com

6. Personal-use licence

Unless a product explicitly states otherwise, each catalogue purchase grants the buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use.

The customer may:

  • download and store the product for personal use
  • read, view or use it privately on their own compatible devices
  • create a reasonable personal backup copy

The customer may not:

  • redistribute or share product files
  • resell, sublicense or upload them elsewhere
  • publish substantial parts of them
  • make them publicly available
  • use them commercially
  • remove authorship or copyright notices
  • present the work as their own
  • use the files to create competing products

Nothing in these terms restricts uses that applicable law expressly permits.

7. Intellectual property

Website content and digital products remain protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property law.

Purchase transfers a licence to use the product, not ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

8. Compatibility

The customer is responsible for checking the advertised format and ensuring access to suitable software or devices.

A Human Odyssey will assist where a supplied file is defective, but cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, application, operating system or third-party service.

9. Refunds and defective files

Refer to the Refund Policy, which applies to the downloadable catalogue products, for full detail.

Catalogue purchases are generally final after access or downloading begins, subject to applicable law.

Defective, incomplete, inaccessible or materially incorrect files should be reported so a corrected or replacement version can be supplied.

10. AHO Studio projects

AHO Studio projects are bespoke engagements rather than catalogue-product purchases. Scope, deliverables, pricing, payment terms, timelines and other project-specific terms are defined in the proposal or agreement accepted for that project.

Where a project-specific agreement differs from these general website terms in relation to that Studio project, the project-specific agreement governs.

11. Prohibited redistribution

Unauthorised sharing or resale may result in termination of the licence and other remedies available under applicable law.

12. Availability and changes

The website, product catalogue, prices and product availability may change.

Purchased products should not be materially reduced after sale without an appropriate remedy.

A Human Odyssey may correct errors, update files or discontinue future sales.

13. Disclaimer

Products may include personal, reflective, spiritual, creative or informational material.

They are not presented as medical, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice unless explicitly stated.

The customer remains responsible for how they interpret and use the material.

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, A Human Odyssey is not responsible for indirect losses arising from misuse, incompatible systems or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in the customer's country of residence.

16. Changes and contact

Terms may be updated as the website and products evolve.
